After reaching level 40 on my paladin / beastlord / rogue – I decided to swap. Of course I did. I didn’t feel like the beastlord was really pulling any weight for the group, so I swapped around to a warrior / rogue / bard combination and then when I hit level 24 I changed that warrior back to the paladin that I’ve been playing to toss a few heals into the mix. So far it has been going amazingly well.
I use offense stance along with spell blade, and I put my heals into that first slot to trigger spell blade, so as I melee, I heal myself. Then I have lay on hands and single target heals if those don’t work out.
With the bard I’ve got some tracking, and songs have 2 methods of playing in EQL. There’s the usual ‘melody’ method that I’m used to, and then there’s also an AA called Symphonic Aura.
The aura will auto play buffs starting at the bottom of your spell bar, I think it can handle 5 or so. Right now I have four playing, and then I have melody handling the rest. The rogue has 4 poisons up, and I feel like all of the characters are pulling their weight in this combination.
The downside is that I had to start back at level 10, so I’ve been working on climbing my way back to 40+. Whether or not I get there before I get distracted by the next shiny? Well. Who knows.
As always, happy gaming – no matter where you find yourself!
