[WoW] Gold Making Wrap Up (Week 32 2026)

What do you know, last week was not a bad week for making gold! It’s amazing what happens when you actually log in and post your auctions. Of course at the time of this post now I’ve actually forgotten to do it for a few days (again) but hey that’s alright.

There was a huge patch yesterday – I’m not even sure what it was about. I did log in to a cinematic playing, I didn’t watch it though. I’ll catch it another time, when I can focus on it. I did also have a lot of housing dye in my mailbox. No idea what that was about, either.

I sold a handful of expensive recipes which accounted for most of the gold earned this week. I also sold a swift springstrider (mount) and some plate transmog. Nothing very expensive in those categories, but since I sell across 10 servers, it adds up.

I did also restock my auction house characters, it was well past time. I am very slowly creeping towards my 100k liquid (again) – right now I believe I’m sitting at 98,000,000. I do need to put some gold towards game time on my 2nd account, but I’m hoping I can earn a bit more first before that happens. We’ll just have to see next week!

As always, happy gaming – no matter where you find yourself.

[WoW] Gold Making Wrap Up (week 30 2026)

OK so I know I just said last week that I was getting into better habits when it came to posting my auctions – turns out that was not entirely true, and I’m still struggling to follow through on my daily posting. I did also start posting to all 20 servers instead of 10, but it really wasn’t paying off in the way that I had hoped, so I’m back down to 10 servers. I’ll see what needs to change as I go along and try to get back into the good habits that I used to have for gold making.

Still, it was over a million earned this week at least, even with my heavy neglect. The sales mostly came in the form of lower cost transmog that has been sitting around for quite some time. I did also sell a grey transmog item or two, that doesn’t happen too often.

Now I just need to get back into those healthy gold making habits. Remember, consistency is actually what I suggest as being key to gold making. I’m sure I can wander my way back to it. It’s just taking me a little longer than usual this time around.

As always, happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself!

[WoW] Gold Wrap Up (Week 29, 2026)

OK so I know the graph looks bad – but I did make some nice changes this week that should pay off long term when it comes to my gold making. I had been posting on my 10 ‘best’ servers for some time now, but decided to swing back to posting across 20 servers instead. This of course means a bigger time investment, but I think it’s a good thing.

The last day on the chart shows this pretty clearly, I made over a million gold on that day alone from sales. Of course I also restocked my characters (it was well past time) so that helped.

What sold? A lot of recipes, and even one of my many expert fishing books. I have so many of those, I’m not even sure if I’ve sold one before.

I’m looking forward to seeing how this pays off, and hopefully I’m able to keep it around 1h30m of ‘work’ each day, the reason I cut out those extra servers initially was because I simply was not making enough gold to warrant the investment of time. Gold making ebbs and flows though, so we’ll see how it goes.

As always, happy gaming – no matter where you find yourself.

[WoW] Back to the Beginning…

In an effort to ‘fake it until you make it’ I decided to dive head first back into World of Warcraft. This is an easy game to do that in, because honestly, nothing changes. There is a main story, some public quests, a weekly quest or two, and the gear grind. I queued up for some raids (which took me 40 minutes to get in as a healer on a Thursday, this is one of my biggest issues with the trinity gameplay of World of Warcraft) and then did some delves, and then also did some Timewalking (which happens to be Battle for Azeroth this week, not my favourite). I upgraded a few pieces of gear, made note that I need to actually work on the story line sometime (remember way back when, I had completed it on my Paladin and then decided not to play her any more) and tried to remember if I even cared about the storyline of Midnight. The answer to that – nope.

Before I knew it time had passed and it was time to get ready for lunch. Was this meaningful gameplay? Not at all. Was it fun? Hmm. I suppose, in a way. It was comfortable, dependable, and exactly what I was expecting from World of Warcraft, despite being ‘away’ for a number of months.

Will I continue? Well. I will make an effort to, but we’ll just have to see. The more I play other games like GW2 and even to some degree, EQL, the less I enjoy having to rely on others to provide the trinity in order for me to get anything done in game. Now, I know you do not HAVE to do all of the things that require a trinity, but then it feels a bit like you’re missing out and you are absolutely shuffled towards that method of gameplay. It’s just not really for me any more.

As always, happy gaming – no matter where you find yourself.

[WoW] Gold Making Wrap Up – Week 27 (2026)

Well, this week 6/10 of my WoW servers earned gold which isn’t great but isn’t exactly bad, either. I earned a total of 1.2 million in that time, with 17 sales. I did not post on Saturday or Sunday, which is mostly just because life has been kicking me around, but it’s nice to see a little continuity back in the works.

I did log in expecting to play this week but unfortunately I just could not make things stick and I bounced right back out. So why keep posting sales? Well. Habit, for one, and it’s still something I’m good at, thus I enjoy it. I may not be getting the same pleasure from the game that I used to, but I’m not ready to write it off entirely.

Sales this week were a few patterns, and a lot of smaller transmog items. I’ve managed to restock, so maybe we’ll see some bigger sales in the future.

As always, happy gaming – no matter where you find yourself.
