Yesterday marked the 20th anniversary of Wurm Online and part of the celebrations included a get together on the SFI islands (Independence, in specific) while there is an NFI gathering today (that I expect will surpass the numbers we saw yesterday). The dev team was there to guide us through some events – including the first time we’ve ever seen a PURPLE dragon. We all got a bit of purple scale and drake from this unique, which we could then combine into a larger piece and make armour from – and yes, the armour is in game, and it is VERY purple and awesome looking.
Unfortunately I do not own enough scale or drake to have a set of this made, I do not even have enough of the basic colours to own a set, but it has always been a goal of mine “one day”.
The event was fun, it included the slaying, building some monuments, a game of musical chairs, and even a fashion show. I know putting on things like this can be difficult and time consuming, so a huge thank you to the team for organizing it.
Afterward, I took my priest characters to the Magranon fissure currently active on the Independence server, while Stargrace went off to Deliverance. Now, Deli is where I started my Wurm Online adventures, all those years ago. I moved to various servers after that, until in 2020, when I settled on the Independence server – and I’ve been there ever since. My Wurm bestie, Moumix, has a deed on Indy but also started one up on Deliverance and I thought it might be nice to see if I could find a casual place nearby too.
So yesterday after all of the events were done I sailed around, looking for the perfect spot for a deed (that wasn’t too far from my place on Independence) and I actually found it.
