Over the years, I’ve written a LOT of blog posts about my number one MMORPG love – Wurm Online. When I first started playing, I had never seen a game quite like this one before. I think that still holds true. Before the days of Minecraft (Notch would later move from Wurm to – well, we all know this story) we were terraforming and building deeds in Wurm.
I have not been playing for those full 20 years but I have played for many of them. I’ve sunk a lot of hours into the game, proudly. It fits a niche that no other game that I’ve ever played has fit – and I’ve met some of my closest friends in this game. Some are even still my friends now.
It was the game where I first became interested in community – and I was in fact their first community manager. I boldly volunteered myself for the role after learning that there was so such person. There has been such a person ever since. My name is still on the credits, and while I was just a kid back then who knew absolutely nothing about the gaming industry, I moved on to then work for Carbine Studios and NCSoft, and while those games I worked on may no longer be around (I miss you, Wildstar!) Wurm is still here.

If you happen to be playing, give me a nudge! I’m Stargrace, on the Independence server.
As always, happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself.
