[WoW] Gold Making – Week 48 (2025)

Player housing early access comes out TOMORROW on the NA servers for those who have pre-purchased Midnight. I always found it a bit annoying that those who have bought the physical edition of the game don’t get the early access goodies unless they ALSO buy the digital edition. Then you’re refunded the cost as bnet balance when the physical one shows up. Seems a bit shoddy, to me.

Anyway. Gold making this week was a bit hit / miss. I let a day or two lapse so I could take care of some real life things (my hands have been causing me a lot of grief and typing is difficult) and while I did make almost 5 million gold for the week, it was just a handful of big ticket transmog items. I’m hoping to get some harvesting done today in preparation for tomorrow, but we’ll see. Maybe everyone else will be dumping their materials and there will be a nice influx of cheaper supplies to pick up (I really don’t enjoy harvesting, at all). I’m not expecting my personal sales to do too much this next week as I don’t deal in any of the materials that will be flying out the door, but we’ll see how it goes.

As always, happy gaming – no matter where you find yourself.

[Warcraft] Gold Making – Week 47 (2025)

Sales in World of Warcraft continue to be a bit slow, and I imagine Remix is still taking up a lot of time – but they’re not too bad. This week profit was just over 4 million for the week, with most of that coming from transmog. I did sell some of the NLA shirts that I’ve had stashed away for some time, and some primal illusion recipes (crafters are gearing up for housing, and why not grab those missing recipes while you’re at it).

I decided to load up my bnet (the cap is $450 CAD in my currency) and I stuck a year of game time on my main account. I currently have three active accounts (two I play, one for AH only) but I might let one of those lapse in the future as I don’t tend to multibox all that much any more (it’s an easy way to get mass reported by players, even if you’re playing within Blizzard’s rules). I also gifted a few things to friends even though I used an abundance of caution since I JUST got my account back, hopefully everyone enjoys the early Christmas presents. This did put me at 80 million liquid when I had been hoping to reach 100 million by the time that Midnight releases, we’ll see if I can still reach that goal. I’m not too concerned if I don’t, 80 million gold is still a pretty respectable amount for someone like me.

I’m expecting the market to really explode in one way or another once housing releases on December 2nd. There’s so many crafted items, and I think we’ll see an influx of people returning to professions. I’m getting ready in my own way, but I already have 4 horde crafters & 4 alliance crafters which covers all professions, so I am hoping to avoid the mad rush of people who waited until the last second. I guess we’ll see! As always, happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself.

[Warcraft] Gold Making – Week 46 (2025)

Well, I’m making another gold making post so that must mean that my ban was overturned. It was, but I was never given any explanation on why it happened to begin with, or even told if it was a false flagging. Instead it was a comment of “we have investigated, and decided to overturn the ban”. OK then. While I am incredibly grateful and happy to have my account back, it was also a very stressful week and some insight on how I can avoid this would have been nice (I realize this isn’t realistic, as they don’t want real RMT players bypassing rules, but for my own peace of mind it would have been nice).

Anyway. Back to gold making. This week was pretty nice, with just over 5 million made for the week. I had a couple of big ticket items sell, and I also started posting on 20 servers instead of 10. Remix has been slowing down and now it’s the anniversary of World of Warcraft and players are stumbling back into the light of retail.

Most of my sales this week came from patterns, although there were a few transmog hidden in there too. I did not see many / any pet sales, which is a bit unusual. I think there has been some confusion as to the future of battle pets and that might be slowing sales down a little bit, too.

In any case, it’s good to be making gold again. I hope everyone has a fantastic week, and I’ll see you in game. As always, happy gaming no matter where you find yourself!

Gold Making – Week 41 (2025)

You can see the exact moment that Legion Remix released on my gold making chart. For the past few weeks I’ve made a pretty steady amount of gold – but as soon as remix hit, all of that changed. Some of it is my fault, I didn’t post auctions for two days of the week and it’s hard to get sales if you’re not even posting. A good chunk of the lower sales is simply because everyone is off doing legion remix, and there’s not as much demand on the market right now. That’s OK, we’re here for the long haul.

A handful of transmog were the ‘big’ sellers this week (if they could be called that) and I suppose some sales are better than none. I think things will slowly start to climb back upwards as the rush of Legion Remix wears off and people start to wander between the versions of the game. Remember, gold making ebbs and flows. It’s constantly fluctuating and there’s all sorts of influences. Just because it’s a bit of a slump right now, doesn’t mean it always will be.

As always, happy gaming no matter where you find yourself!

Gold Making – Week 40 (2025)

It was a great week for sales, but that might have also been because for once I kept up with all of the auctions and reposted them properly. Or tried my best, at least. So the gains for this week were 12 million, and I did about 90k worth of purchases. Mostly crafting materials which have seen a sharp increase ever since the Midnight recipe components started floating around.

Most of the sales were smaller items, a lot of transmog, less pets this time around but I think that’s because all of the ‘good’ deals I had going have already sold. The Blackrock Bulwark sale is especially nice, almost 1 million gold from that alone. I also worked on my own recipe collection a bit, and overall, it was just a great well rounded week while we wait for Legion Remix to begin. I’m interested in seeing how that affects the market, will sales go down as the masses move off to the newest shiny, or will collectors decide it’s their time to shine. We’ll just have to see!

As always, happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself.
