[WoW] Gold Making – Week 7 (2026)

Well, this week was not a great one for gold making. I had to take a few days off because real life decided to toss some crap my way, but I did end the week with 1.8 million gold earned which I suppose is better than nothing. I had a few big ticket items, like a Footpad’s Shirt, and some smaller transmog items. No recipes sold this week, and pets are once again on a decline. I have a whole bunch of bush chickens to try to sell, so I’m probably going to liquidate those to another goblin who has more patience than me.

I’m hoping that next week is better as far as sales go, but even if it’s not it’s important to remember that making gold is a long game – at least the way I do it. I’m not working in current tier goods, I’m not selling items that have a great need or items that move quickly. I might have a bad week here and there, but there are lots of other weeks where sales are quite a bit higher than my average. So I’ll wait this out, and we’ll see what next week brings.

Also doesn’t help that this morning Blizzard took the Warband bank offline, which means all of my items and money is frozen until they let us access it again. Hopefully that gets resolved quickly.

As always, happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself!

[WoW] Gold Making – Week 6 (2026)

Alright, so the stats this week look a little bare compared to last week, but let’s keep in mind that I didn’t post auctions on 3/7 days, and at least I didn’t spend 2 million on housing decor this week. I did spend a little. What I wanted to show here in this screenshot is how things can change week to week with gold making.

Normally, A52 is my highest performing server. I have historically made the most gold there. For whatever reason, the past two weeks have been very bad for me, I assume some competition has caught on to my pricing / schedule and is posting / undercutting or maybe I’ve sold all of my good stuff and I just need to make smarter restock decisions. Not a big deal, because I am on a lot of other servers (20 in total) and they can usually pick up the slack and fill in any issues I’m experiencing on abc123 server.

Making these types of observations is something you’ll want to do, especially if you’re just starting out. At my scale it’s not such a big deal as to WHERE I am selling, I’m guaranteed sales across a number of servers – but when you’re just starting out, you’ll want to be more picky.

Normally what I do is take a look at 3 months of sales, and weigh my time / effort on that server. If I’m barely making anything it’s just not going to be worth it for me to post there. Same with times where I want to downsize my production all together (like during remix). I’ll take a look at the bigger picture, and maybe just pick the top 10 performing servers, and ignore the rest for a bit, so I’m no longer spending 1.5h each day posting, but cut that down. Or maybe I want to put extra stock on specific well performing servers. This is where TSM really shines in giving me all of that information.

In any case, sales this week were the usual. A number of big transmog items, a handful of cheap pets (pets have taken a nosedive since Blizzard seems to be letting it fade a-la archaeology) and my usual ‘anything but current content’ items.

As always, happy gaming – no matter where you find yourself!

[WoW] Gold Making – Week 4 (2026)

We’re getting our winter storm right now, and I had other chores to do so this post is coming a bit late, but at least it’s coming! This week sales were much better than usual, and I think that’s because Remix is no longer going on (yay) so folks are back in game. I made just over 4.4 million gold for the week, with the usual sales. Pets, transmog, a few recipes here and there. I’ve not been selling anything from TWW or housing, I have spent quite a bit of gold on housing lately as I tried to pick up at least one of everything that I didn’t own. Gotta get that house leveled up!

In any case, it’s nice to see some higher sales. Today I did not put items back up for sale, instead I let them expire and I’ll get to them tomorrow morning. While I do try to remain mostly consistent, it doesn’t always end up that way. I prefer to do my auction house posting first thing in the morning, so if something else has my attention at that time, I tend to just leave things be until the next morning that I can get to them – and that’s OK.

As always, happy gaming no matter where you find yourself!

[WoW] Gold Making – Week 3 (2026)

Well, sales were way down this week, but it was really my fault. I spent a lot of time in Remix and didn’t get around to posting too many items, and when I did get a sale it was a lot of little items that didn’t hold much value. Still, just shy of 2 million for the week is something I’ll take.

I expect that sales will pop back up slightly once remix is done (just a few hours from this post) and I finally shuffle the rest of my auction house characters around. There are a good number who have been in limbo since remix began, and I’m looking forward to getting a bit of continuity going again as far as gold making goes.

I’m also very glad to be back in retail, even if I’m not sure what I’ll be doing. There’s a stat squish coming, along with lots of class changes and I’m interested to see how all of that plays out. Not to mention housing changes, which I have been eagerly waiting for (blood elf housing, in specific). Overall, exciting times in World of Warcraft! Here’s hoping for lots of sales next week.

[WoW] Gold Making Week 2 (2026)

This week was a bit of a confusing time, as far as gold making goes. Story time!

I started 2025 with two accounts, A and B. A is my main, B was my secondary account and also housed all of my auction house characters. Sometime during the early part of the year, I decided I wanted to separate the auction house characters from the ‘regular’ characters, and so I activated account C. I then created and shuffled all of the characters to the new account. They were all level 10, and had a generic name that I tend to use on all servers.

When my account was unfairly banned in the fall, I think this hindered me, because there was an account with no play characters, just level 10 allied, who did nothing but auction house stuff. Doesn’t look too great. So, last week I decided I would merge all of my auction house characters back to account B, and that I would also use remix to level those characters up to 80 (plus I moved around a few of the 80s that were already on the account). Then I would shut down account C, since I really don’t need 3 accounts at this point in time.

Most of the week was spent shuffling all of my auction house stuff all over the place. Thankfully TSM helps ease this pain with mail operations (everything in a group gets assigned a mail operation with a character name, so all I had to do, was mail it all off to the new character on account B). I also had to invite everyone to guild, and make sure to import my TSM profile.

I think I have a handful of characters left to set up, but I’m waiting until Remix ends for those to be completed. I haven’t finished leveling those characters, and while I’m not 100% sure I will – I would like to try.

Anyway. That’s the story – despite that bunch of influx, I did end the week making just slightly more than 3 million gold overall. I have also started to reincorporate my old servers back into the mix, now that Remix is almost ended and everyone should be wandering back to retail.

As always, happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself!
