[WO] A Deliverance Deed

When I started Wurm Online back in 2010, I lived on the Deliverance server. It was a great place, but as the years went on I started feeling like it was a bit small for me. I moved around, living pretty much every server in the SFI cluster and eventually 6 years ago I settled down on Independence, which is where my main deed is (and remains today) along with my secondary deed. The thing is, the Independence server is HUGE, and I’ve never really enjoyed running treasure maps on that server.

So when Moumix started talking about his Deliverance get away, I decided to take a peek and see if I could find anything that suited me.

Turns out, the perfect location (for me) happened to be open. If I sail straight South from my deed on Independence, I end up at this island on Deliverance. It had been undeeded for only 4 days, and so I decided right then and there to claim Quail Point.

I decided it would be a sort of ‘holding’ deed, for my priests. That I could leave them here to pray and spam treasure maps, and I could decide if maps were worth it for me, and if I enjoyed doing them over here any more than on Independence. So far I’ve collected almost 20 maps, but I haven’t actually made a run to complete them – yet. Instead I’ve been working on building the deed up. I want it to be a castle rising from the water. Unlike my main deed, this one is not really for things like farming or animal husbandry. Instead I wanted it to be a safe haven to hang out in for my priest characters.

On that same note, I actually joined an alliance over on Deliverance. I have not belonged to one for many MANY years, preferring to keep to myself. It’s very nice to see chatter happening, and to make some new friends. I’m also trying not to rush forward and just take my time and let things come naturally. In any case, lots of building is happening, gaining lots of skills, and I’m having a blast playing (as I always do). Happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself!
