Legion Remix – Now?

My last post about Legion Remix showed me at 55% completed – and things have changed, just a bit. I’m now at 78% completion, and I have 6 level 80 characters who made their way through the content. I’ve leveled a Deathknight, Demon Hunter, Shaman, Warlock, Paladin, and Druid. Next up I plan on leveling a priest, and a monk. I found that leveling characters who have heal specs is a guaranteed way to get instant queues, although at end game absolutely no one is taking healers along for the M+ runs. When I first started I had the idea that I would only level up 4 characters because I didn’t really need a bunch extra, and here we are.

I’ve got 1 more transmog, and 1 more mount to obtain, then the “stuff” for phase 1 is done – which is good, because phase 2 releases in 3 days. I’m not sure if I’m going to stockpile any bronze for that, but ideally I would. We’ll see. I am trying not to make too many goals ahead of time because as we all know, everything can change on a whim.

The Halloween event has also started in game, and there’s a lot to it. I have not even looked at that yet, it’s on my ‘to do’ list, though.

Legion Remix – Phase 1 (55%)

Completionism tells me that as of right now, I’m 55% completed with phase one of Legion Remix. I’ve got 3 level 80 characters, and I’m working on a 4th so that I have one of each armor type. Along the way I’m focusing on completing what I can, which excludes doing M+ dungeons for the time being. Phase two starts October 20th, which is just next week (where the hell has October gone?!) and I am not confident that I’ll get much further than 70-80% before that date.

I’m also pretty sure I won’t be creating one of each class, though I will be picking up the mounts. I have no interest in leveling up 12 characters – I’ve already got three, and once I finish with the warlock, that will be 4 (one of each armor type) which is required for an appearance item achievement.

It’s really easy to get caught up in the FOMO of Remix – but if you don’t collect toys, pets, mounts, and transmog – then this event is probably not for you and that is absolutely alright. It’s really easy to feel pressured when everyone else is doing the thing. I happen to love collecting in World of Warcraft, but if there were pvp achievements you’d see me obtain 0 of them (I say this, but we all know what happened when Plunderstorm came out, which was purely PVP).

I’m having fun pecking away at the achievements. I’ve got some transmog left to get and most of the class mounts but I’m pretty confident that I’ll get that. I might not get one of every class, or every achievement available – and that’s alright.

Gold Making – Week 41 (2025)

You can see the exact moment that Legion Remix released on my gold making chart. For the past few weeks I’ve made a pretty steady amount of gold – but as soon as remix hit, all of that changed. Some of it is my fault, I didn’t post auctions for two days of the week and it’s hard to get sales if you’re not even posting. A good chunk of the lower sales is simply because everyone is off doing legion remix, and there’s not as much demand on the market right now. That’s OK, we’re here for the long haul.

A handful of transmog were the ‘big’ sellers this week (if they could be called that) and I suppose some sales are better than none. I think things will slowly start to climb back upwards as the rush of Legion Remix wears off and people start to wander between the versions of the game. Remember, gold making ebbs and flows. It’s constantly fluctuating and there’s all sorts of influences. Just because it’s a bit of a slump right now, doesn’t mean it always will be.

Legion Remix – It’s Happening

At the time of this post, wowthing.org is telling me that I’ve got 51 out of 168 items that I want from remix – which is pretty great considering I’m not max level yet, nor have I completed all that much. I know a lot of my friends are already 80, and I’ve seen people begin farming the bronze tokens required to make all the purchases – but I’ve been going nice and slow.

Some of that is my own choice, some of that is because for most of the first two days I couldn’t really play. The game was having a TON of issues and then my main character was inaccessible and locked when trying to transfer the bronze to another character went horribly wrong. I think it’s mostly all sorted now (or at least my character is released from the void, so that’s nice) and last night I was able to make a bit more progress.

I’m also still trying to poke around on retail, I did NOT get the brewfest mount this year (at the time of this post there’s 4h left of the event) which was a huge disappointment considering how much I tried. I think Blizzard’s decision to try to reduce the pressure by only letting you have one attempt each day just increases the pressure for those of us who didn’t get it, RNG has never been a friend of mine.

Are you playing Lemix (the name I’ve seen it called lately) and if so what class have you opted to go with? I’m probably going to create at least one of each class, but for now I’ve got a 56 Demon hunter, and a 30 Death knight. We’ll see what else makes the list.

Gold Making – Week 40 (2025)

It was a great week for sales, but that might have also been because for once I kept up with all of the auctions and reposted them properly. Or tried my best, at least. So the gains for this week were 12 million, and I did about 90k worth of purchases. Mostly crafting materials which have seen a sharp increase ever since the Midnight recipe components started floating around.

Most of the sales were smaller items, a lot of transmog, less pets this time around but I think that’s because all of the ‘good’ deals I had going have already sold. The Blackrock Bulwark sale is especially nice, almost 1 million gold from that alone. I also worked on my own recipe collection a bit, and overall, it was just a great well rounded week while we wait for Legion Remix to begin. I’m interested in seeing how that affects the market, will sales go down as the masses move off to the newest shiny, or will collectors decide it’s their time to shine. We’ll just have to see!
