[WoW] Gold Making – Week 4 (2026)

We’re getting our winter storm right now, and I had other chores to do so this post is coming a bit late, but at least it’s coming! This week sales were much better than usual, and I think that’s because Remix is no longer going on (yay) so folks are back in game. I made just over 4.4 million gold for the week, with the usual sales. Pets, transmog, a few recipes here and there. I’ve not been selling anything from TWW or housing, I have spent quite a bit of gold on housing lately as I tried to pick up at least one of everything that I didn’t own. Gotta get that house leveled up!

In any case, it’s nice to see some higher sales. Today I did not put items back up for sale, instead I let them expire and I’ll get to them tomorrow morning. While I do try to remain mostly consistent, it doesn’t always end up that way. I prefer to do my auction house posting first thing in the morning, so if something else has my attention at that time, I tend to just leave things be until the next morning that I can get to them – and that’s OK.

As always, happy gaming no matter where you find yourself!

[WoW] Gold Making – Week 3 (2026)

Well, sales were way down this week, but it was really my fault. I spent a lot of time in Remix and didn’t get around to posting too many items, and when I did get a sale it was a lot of little items that didn’t hold much value. Still, just shy of 2 million for the week is something I’ll take.

I expect that sales will pop back up slightly once remix is done (just a few hours from this post) and I finally shuffle the rest of my auction house characters around. There are a good number who have been in limbo since remix began, and I’m looking forward to getting a bit of continuity going again as far as gold making goes.

I’m also very glad to be back in retail, even if I’m not sure what I’ll be doing. There’s a stat squish coming, along with lots of class changes and I’m interested to see how all of that plays out. Not to mention housing changes, which I have been eagerly waiting for (blood elf housing, in specific). Overall, exciting times in World of Warcraft! Here’s hoping for lots of sales next week.

[WoW] Gold Making Week 2 (2026)

This week was a bit of a confusing time, as far as gold making goes. Story time!

I started 2025 with two accounts, A and B. A is my main, B was my secondary account and also housed all of my auction house characters. Sometime during the early part of the year, I decided I wanted to separate the auction house characters from the ‘regular’ characters, and so I activated account C. I then created and shuffled all of the characters to the new account. They were all level 10, and had a generic name that I tend to use on all servers.

When my account was unfairly banned in the fall, I think this hindered me, because there was an account with no play characters, just level 10 allied, who did nothing but auction house stuff. Doesn’t look too great. So, last week I decided I would merge all of my auction house characters back to account B, and that I would also use remix to level those characters up to 80 (plus I moved around a few of the 80s that were already on the account). Then I would shut down account C, since I really don’t need 3 accounts at this point in time.

Most of the week was spent shuffling all of my auction house stuff all over the place. Thankfully TSM helps ease this pain with mail operations (everything in a group gets assigned a mail operation with a character name, so all I had to do, was mail it all off to the new character on account B). I also had to invite everyone to guild, and make sure to import my TSM profile.

I think I have a handful of characters left to set up, but I’m waiting until Remix ends for those to be completed. I haven’t finished leveling those characters, and while I’m not 100% sure I will – I would like to try.

Anyway. That’s the story – despite that bunch of influx, I did end the week making just slightly more than 3 million gold overall. I have also started to reincorporate my old servers back into the mix, now that Remix is almost ended and everyone should be wandering back to retail.

As always, happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself!

[WoW] Gold Making – Week 1 (2026)

Well, the first week of 2026 is done, and I brought in just shy of 5 million gold for the week. I had some really big sales, most notably the Rich Purple Silk Shirt pattern that went for over 800k for that single item alone. Even though you can transfer gold and items from any server to any server, MOST players won’t go to those lengths. Whether it’s because they don’t know they can, or because they don’t have access to the warband bank. That means buying on a cheap server and shuffling the items off to a more expensive server remains one of my best gold making methods. Folks who are focused on gold making and saving gold will of course use these tactics, they’re too good not to.

The rest of the sales were the usual transmog and nothing much of note. Out of the 10 servers I’m currently selling on, only 8 had sales, with two of those servers making up the bulk of all sales for the week. I’m reluctant to expand past those 10 servers right now, as the items sold vs. time spent posting doesn’t always balance out, and after gold making for over 9 years now, that’s something that is of high value to me (my time). I used to sell across 25 servers but I took a look at the total sales per server and dropped a bunch of them a few months back. It has impacted my gold earned slightly, but it also freed up a lot of time so that instead of spending approx 1-1.5h posting auctions each day, I could just spend 30 minutes posting while eating breakfast. Much better for consistency, which is key.

I hope everyone is off to a great start so far in 2026, and here’s to a great week of gold making. Happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself!

[WoW] Gold Making – Week 52 (2025)

It is the final week of 2025! Sales were slow, I took a lot of breaks. I brought in just shy of 2 million gold this week, and for my absolute low effort, I’m OK with that. So let’s take a look at the year in general.

For the year Tradeskillmaster has me sitting at 136,486,212g earned, and I spent about 4 million of that on random bits and bobs (probably craft supplies, since I hate farming). I also had some very low performing months at the beginning of the year since I wasn’t really playing. September was my best month ever, with over 14 million gold earned for that month alone.

My highest performing realm is Area52, comes as no surprise, it’s the most populated realm in all of NA. Competition may be fierce, but even posting once a day ensured me sales. I don’t bother cancel scanning, if I did I’m sure the numbers would go even higher.

I have roughly 90 million liquid gold left at the time of this post. I’ve purchased game time, expansions, and many (many) gifts for friends. I even got banned for the first time ever later this year – but it was overturned. Never did find out what caused that one.

In any case. I’m excited about midnight, I’m excited about 2026, and I’m looking forward to whatever the future brings in regards to gold making. I’ve been playing this odd meta game for about 9 years now, and it never fails to entertain.

As always, happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself.
