[Warcraft] Gold Making – Week 46 (2025)

Well, I’m making another gold making post so that must mean that my ban was overturned. It was, but I was never given any explanation on why it happened to begin with, or even told if it was a false flagging. Instead it was a comment of “we have investigated, and decided to overturn the ban”. OK then. While I am incredibly grateful and happy to have my account back, it was also a very stressful week and some insight on how I can avoid this would have been nice (I realize this isn’t realistic, as they don’t want real RMT players bypassing rules, but for my own peace of mind it would have been nice).

Anyway. Back to gold making. This week was pretty nice, with just over 5 million made for the week. I had a couple of big ticket items sell, and I also started posting on 20 servers instead of 10. Remix has been slowing down and now it’s the anniversary of World of Warcraft and players are stumbling back into the light of retail.

Most of my sales this week came from patterns, although there were a few transmog hidden in there too. I did not see many / any pet sales, which is a bit unusual. I think there has been some confusion as to the future of battle pets and that might be slowing sales down a little bit, too.

In any case, it’s good to be making gold again. I hope everyone has a fantastic week, and I’ll see you in game. As always, happy gaming no matter where you find yourself!

[Warcraft] Running after the Legion Remix Dopamine

I have never been a min/max player, instead I tend to wander around doing whatever it is I feel like doing that day. It’s not conductive to productivity – but Legion Remix has changed that, at least temporarily. In Legion Remix, it’s all about focusing on one character so that you can gain the most infinite power, and thus do bigger and bigger things (such as soloing mythic+).

Right now I’ve been attempting to focus on my demon hunter – but it’s not exactly FUN. It IS a rush. You rush through doing all of the heroic + mythic raids for the day, rush through doing a normal and heroic dungeon, maybe even rush through a mythic or two. Then you rush through your world quests, your world boss, and complete your research for the day too, and if there’s time left over you pop over to retail to do the headless horseman instance in the hopes of getting the new mount that was added (no luck as of the time of this post).

Then you log out, satisfied, because all of those little rushes keep you going while you’re playing – even if you haven’t actually DONE much. Plus, it’s temporary. In January when Remix is over we’ll all go back to the regular grind that doesn’t involve us being overpowered and awesome.

I’m enjoying myself, but I am also trying to be realistic. I KNOW it’s because of the rush. I know it’s just dopamine hit after dopamine hit. What I REALLY want, is player housing. I want things to be slower. I want a story. Right now, there is none of that going on. That’s OK. For now. I hope that it changes once remix is over.

As always, happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself!

[Warcraft] Gold Making – Week 42 (2025)

Sales have started picking back up again after the Legion Remix rush, which is nice. Not as much as it was prior to Remix, but that’s OK. I imagine things will ebb and flow as the community wanders to and from depending on what they’re doing. The Halloween event has also started in game, so people are wandering back to regular retail for that. Since I am also playing on legion remix these days I’ve streamlined my sales slightly, so instead of selling on 20 servers (taking 1.5h to post each morning) I’m temporarily selling on only 10 servers, my 10 ‘best selling’ servers as it were (according to my ledger in tradeskillmaster). Sales on some of my servers have been incredibly low, and if I put those items up on my more populated servers instead I’m sure I can get them to move faster. This should cut down the time I’m spending in the morning posting auctions which is the main goal.

Ideally I’d just post across 2 accounts again since you can post auctions to two accounts at once using hotkeys, but I’ve been really happy with all of my auction house characters on a single account, it’s easier to take breaks and not burn out. Hopefully sales continue to rise, and in the mean time there’s certainly no lack of things to do in game!

Happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself.

Legion Remix – Now?

My last post about Legion Remix showed me at 55% completed – and things have changed, just a bit. I’m now at 78% completion, and I have 6 level 80 characters who made their way through the content. I’ve leveled a Deathknight, Demon Hunter, Shaman, Warlock, Paladin, and Druid. Next up I plan on leveling a priest, and a monk. I found that leveling characters who have heal specs is a guaranteed way to get instant queues, although at end game absolutely no one is taking healers along for the M+ runs. When I first started I had the idea that I would only level up 4 characters because I didn’t really need a bunch extra, and here we are.

I’ve got 1 more transmog, and 1 more mount to obtain, then the “stuff” for phase 1 is done – which is good, because phase 2 releases in 3 days. I’m not sure if I’m going to stockpile any bronze for that, but ideally I would. We’ll see. I am trying not to make too many goals ahead of time because as we all know, everything can change on a whim.

The Halloween event has also started in game, and there’s a lot to it. I have not even looked at that yet, it’s on my ‘to do’ list, though.

As always, happy gaming – no matter where you find yourself!

Legion Remix – Phase 1 (55%)

Completionism tells me that as of right now, I’m 55% completed with phase one of Legion Remix. I’ve got 3 level 80 characters, and I’m working on a 4th so that I have one of each armor type. Along the way I’m focusing on completing what I can, which excludes doing M+ dungeons for the time being. Phase two starts October 20th, which is just next week (where the hell has October gone?!) and I am not confident that I’ll get much further than 70-80% before that date.

I’m also pretty sure I won’t be creating one of each class, though I will be picking up the mounts. I have no interest in leveling up 12 characters – I’ve already got three, and once I finish with the warlock, that will be 4 (one of each armor type) which is required for an appearance item achievement.

It’s really easy to get caught up in the FOMO of Remix – but if you don’t collect toys, pets, mounts, and transmog – then this event is probably not for you and that is absolutely alright. It’s really easy to feel pressured when everyone else is doing the thing. I happen to love collecting in World of Warcraft, but if there were pvp achievements you’d see me obtain 0 of them (I say this, but we all know what happened when Plunderstorm came out, which was purely PVP).

I’m having fun pecking away at the achievements. I’ve got some transmog left to get and most of the class mounts but I’m pretty confident that I’ll get that. I might not get one of every class, or every achievement available – and that’s alright.

As always, happy gaming no matter where you find yourself!
