Gold Making – Week 41 (2025)

You can see the exact moment that Legion Remix released on my gold making chart. For the past few weeks I’ve made a pretty steady amount of gold – but as soon as remix hit, all of that changed. Some of it is my fault, I didn’t post auctions for two days of the week and it’s hard to get sales if you’re not even posting. A good chunk of the lower sales is simply because everyone is off doing legion remix, and there’s not as much demand on the market right now. That’s OK, we’re here for the long haul.

A handful of transmog were the ‘big’ sellers this week (if they could be called that) and I suppose some sales are better than none. I think things will slowly start to climb back upwards as the rush of Legion Remix wears off and people start to wander between the versions of the game. Remember, gold making ebbs and flows. It’s constantly fluctuating and there’s all sorts of influences. Just because it’s a bit of a slump right now, doesn’t mean it always will be.

As always, happy gaming no matter where you find yourself!

Gold Making – Week 40 (2025)

It was a great week for sales, but that might have also been because for once I kept up with all of the auctions and reposted them properly. Or tried my best, at least. So the gains for this week were 12 million, and I did about 90k worth of purchases. Mostly crafting materials which have seen a sharp increase ever since the Midnight recipe components started floating around.

Most of the sales were smaller items, a lot of transmog, less pets this time around but I think that’s because all of the ‘good’ deals I had going have already sold. The Blackrock Bulwark sale is especially nice, almost 1 million gold from that alone. I also worked on my own recipe collection a bit, and overall, it was just a great well rounded week while we wait for Legion Remix to begin. I’m interested in seeing how that affects the market, will sales go down as the masses move off to the newest shiny, or will collectors decide it’s their time to shine. We’ll just have to see!

As always, happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself.

Gold Making – Week 39 (2025)

Sales this week have been slow (the earnings were around 6.4 million for the past 7 days) – but it’s really my own fault. Somehow I got out of schedule for posting, and I skipped a few days all together. I’m hoping to swing back on track this week, but I’m also getting used to a new stream schedule (I stream Wurm Online Friday nights, and then World of Warcraft Saturday/Sunday, 8pm EST). Needless to say I have been absolutely exhausted, but I think things are slowly falling into their groove.

Sales this week were all over the place. A few more ‘rare’ expensive items, and a lot of transmog. I think everyone is waiting for ‘what comes next’ in game, whether that’s Legion Remix, or something else. I’d like to spend some time setting up a few extra ‘series’ type posts / videos, I have some in mind (like perhaps re-doing my 100 dungeon run ones) and I just need to get the ball rolling on them.

Here’s to another full week of gold making! As always, happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself.

Gold Making – Week 27 / 2025

It’s a slow period in World of Warcraft right now, at least as far as my sales are concerned. That’s not a bad thing, the market ebbs and flows and I know that this slower portion will eventually turn around to some bigger sales eventually. I’m currently posting around 100-150 items across 20 different North American servers. It includes a mixture of full/medium/low servers, and is mostly transmog, pets, and recipes. I rarely ever (ie: never) deal in current-tier sales, which I know is where the bigger money is at, but I’m nothing if not patient and consistent.

WoW September (Personal) Economy Update

Have I mentioned lately how much I’m loving the newly revamped Tradeskillmaster website? Well, I am, and the improvements keep coming. I decided to do an update for September even though I’ve only been back to Warcraft since September 23 so my ledger is a bit sparse. You can see that September 29th was a great day for sales and the rest of the week was pretty steady. I did take 1 day off from posting just to get the timing all under control (I post every 24h and it has to fit within my morning schedule, if it doesn’t then I leave it be until the next day).

The next screenshot shows how much I made per server, with my top 10 (I actually sell on 22 servers at the moment) along with the sales quantity per server. The more servers you can spread yourself over, the larger chance that *something* will sell. I (currently) sell exactly 1 full inventory worth of items on each server, and I restock once a week. The more time you devote to making gold, the higher your chance at returns – but I’ve been doing this for quite some time now, and I limit myself to 1h or so a day. One full inventory of items across 22 servers hits that threshold nicely. If I started selling more than one full inventory worth, or I increased the number of servers I was on, then the amount of time it would take me would also increase. I’m not interested in that at this point in time.

The third screenshot shows where the gold went – most of my sales comes from transmog, so weapons and armor is no surprise. In third place is recipes. I purchased some TWW recipes for my blacksmith, and she also worked on her professions for the first time this expansion, so that’s why there’s so many purchases under the trade goods category. I’ve also been doing some fishing to relax, and I’ve been selling all of that back on the auction house (I expect it will drop significantly in value a month from now). The consumable category includes the haunted memento which is the only item I sold in that category, I don’t typically deal with consumables (this is a category that Blizzard has it under).

Over all, I’m pretty happy with how September went. Old items are still selling just fine (none of the items I sell are from The War Within) and if you’re looking for big numbers, that’s where you’ll want to focus – but I focus on the long game, steady sales. I’ll leave the current expansion stuff to the big players who are devoting a lot more time to it than I am.

As always, happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself!
