New Pen – Complete!

I finally finished making bricks and fence bars for the new horse pen / farm field along the side of my deed. I’ve moved all of the animals over, and they seem to enjoy the larger space. I also got a new piebold pinto horse!

This deed on Independence is now basically “complete” – minus two buildings that I haven’t planned out yet. I finished the hanging bridges, I finished the fields and fences, all I really want to build is a church / temple for the priests to stay safe in, and perhaps a shipyard building of sorts. I haven’t planned anything yet, though. I want to build the temple in slate, and that’s proving problematic since my mine currently has zero slate. I was thinking of mining it on the mainland and bringing it all home. We’ll just have to see what I can find.

Short of a Million

Another 28 days has passed, and while last month I made a profit of 1.9 million gold, this month (28 days) I’ve only reached 900k profit. This comes from a number of reasons including a lot of spending.

I purchased two tokens, and I also purchased the Yak mount that allows you to transmog your gear on the go (120k). This would have pushed me up over the 1 million gold in profit mark, but honestly the main reason is that I haven’t felt motivated to make gold. I have been playing other games, focusing on doing just my dailies for faction, and exploring other characters. I re-post my stock, but I have no Shadowlands stock, and while a lot of fellow goblins are out there making millions each day, I’m content to take a back seat approach. I already have millions of gold that I’m not using, I don’t exactly need more.

Still, a 900k gain is nothing to sneeze at. It’s just not quite as good as I could have done.

Still Making Gold – Slowly

When Shadowlands released, I made a promise to myself that I was going to step back a bit and just enjoy. I wanted to level up some characters in a mostly stress-free way, and not feel a lot of pressure to make gold. Of course after focusing on making gold for so long it feels incredibly strange NOT to be focused on it – but that also doesn’t mean that all gold making completely stops.

I made 200k profit this week on top of the two tokens I purchased, so it was a very average week for me. I know other goblins are making millions and millions of gold with the expansion and the release of darkmoon cards, new legendaries, and other hidden gem markets – but I’m content to sit back and relax. I’ve got gold. I’ve got game time. Real life is hectic and the holidays are coming and I’ve got a lot of other hobbies and games to focus on too.

That also doesn’t mean I’m not still tracking my gold making efforts. I am, it’s a habit now that’s hard to give up and is just part of my daily efforts. If you’re looking to make gold I HIGHLY suggest you surround and immerse yourself in the goblin community, between the wow economy discord, reddit, and twitter, there’s an active and friendly group of people that you can learn a lot from simply by lurking. Learn your server. Learn different markets, and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
