I know I haven’t written much lately, life has been bouncing me around and I have folded inward a little, but I am of course still playing World of Warcraft, even if I’m a bit quiet. I figured I’d do a ‘where do things stand’ type of post.
Number one, I finally settled on a ‘main’ although it took some time to get there. I leveled up my paladin first, doing the Campaign, falling 2 levels short of 90, and then going back and finishing off 2 of the zones completely. When I finally reached 90 the class wasn’t feeling quite right to me. A bit bulky, a bit slow.
So I decided to level the monk up next. I did this through legion pet battle trainers which is my optimal method. I can just multitask and do something else while battling the trainers, and while it is NOT fast, by any means, it is simple.
The monk reached 90, and then I leveled up a druid and a demon hunter through the same method. I have 1 more character to get to 90 (my priest) in order to have my core four profession characters at 90. Granted, they don’t NEED to be 90 to work on Midnight professions, but it helps. I then started re-doing the entire campaign on the monk, because there’s just something in my brain that thinks “well, it’s not REALLY my main if I don’t do everything on her!”
I am not really a quest type of person. I enjoy doing them the first time, I enjoy the stories, but I do not like spending days on end questing. This is why I typically swap over to some other activity. I imagine it will take me some time to get the monk ‘caught up’ as far as the campaign goes, if I ever do.
In the meantime, I’ve been doing all of my daily quests, all of my weeklies, the events that I can, and even some PVP in there. Season 1 starts next week, so there isn’t a lot of ‘stuff’ to do right now. That’s OK by me. I also managed to get my house to level 7, though I’d really like it to be closer to 8. There is a LOT of housing I still need to collect, and I feel like for those players who DO like to collect, Midnight offers a lot of options. I think there is probably a section of players who are a bit bored at the moment though, waiting for season 1. We’ll see what that looks like next week.
As always, happy gaming – no matter where you find yourself.
